The American Foundation School: A Journey of Discovery

At The American Foundation School, we proudly introduce our Junior School, tailored for students aged 5.5 to 10.5 years. Recognizing the unique developmental stages during these formative years, our Junior School is divided into five classes, each designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for our young learners.

Junior 1 (5.5 to 6.5 years): Early Explorers

In Junior 1, our Early Explorers embark on their educational journey with a focus on discovery and curiosity. Through a blend of interactive audio-visual learning and hands-on activities, these young minds begin to build a strong foundation in numeracy, literacy, and social skills. Our certified teachers guide Junior 1 students with care, fostering a love for learning that sets the stage for future academic success.

Junior 2 (6.5 to 7.5 years): Growing Discoverers

As Growing Discoverers, Junior 2 students delve deeper into the world of knowledge. Our curriculum expands to include more complex concepts, and the interactive learning experiences continue to captivate their imagination. The combination of audio-visual elements and traditional teaching methods ensures a balanced approach that encourages both independent thinking and collaborative learning.

Junior 3 (7.5 to 8.5 years): Inquisitive Minds

In Junior 3, Inquisitive Minds are encouraged to ask questions, explore interests, and engage in critical thinking. The curriculum is designed to spark curiosity and develop problem-solving skills. Our educators, certified by the University of Cambridge, provide personalized attention, recognizing the individual potential of each student as they navigate this stage of intellectual and emotional growth.

Junior 4 (8.5 to 9.5 years): Emerging Scholars

As Emerging Scholars, Junior 4 students take on more complex academic challenges. The fusion of audio-visual resources with hands-on projects and traditional teaching methods continues to create a dynamic learning environment. Our goal is to nurture a sense of responsibility, independence, and a lifelong love for learning among our Emerging Scholars.

Junior 5 (9.5 to 10.5 years): Future Leaders

In Junior 5, our Future Leaders are preparing to transition to higher levels of education. The curriculum is designed to refine critical thinking skills, enhance subject expertise, and foster leadership qualities. As these young minds approach the end of their Junior School journey, they carry with them the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for success in their academic pursuits.
